Who We Are
The Eastern Stars Bands are a group of East Auckland-based wind bands aimed at providing enriching entertainment to the community, and the opportunity to perform exciting, challenging music to woodwind, brass, and percussion players of all ages. We regularly attend and have won awards at band competitions such as the Matamata Festival of Music and the NZCBA Festival. Like the Holy Trinity we consist of three Ensembles, each in its own way Eastern Stars, to cater to players of different skill levels, ranging from absolute beginners to college graduates.
